So far, my year hasn’t exactly gone to plan, but I’m not letting that dampen my spirits. At the end of last year, I didn’t have any plans at all for 2018, but now I seem to have a lot of things coming up within the next few months!
A lot of things have kind of stopped me in my tracks as I have been putting a lot of money into my savings which has left me skint, potentially having kidney stones as well as my smear scare back in February which you can read about here.
I personally believe that it is important to have something to look forward to as it gives you something to work towards and makes the working week a lot more bearable! With this being said, I thought I would share my plans for 2018 to keep you lot in the loop!
5th May – Ghost Hunting at Bodmin Jail
If you weren’t aware, I am really into the paranormal and religiously watch Ghost Adventures, Paranormal Witness and any other shows!
This is a little bit of a last-minute plan, as I made an impulse purchase due to these tickets becoming available (and I was a little drunk at the time). I actually went ghost hunting last year at Old Forde House in Newton Abbott, and it was such a cool experience. Nothing too scary happened, but it was fun none the less! I have only visited Bodmin Jail once during the daytime, and that was scary enough, so I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like in the pitch black!
12th May – Pigstock
Pigstock is probably my favourite event of the year, and I have been going ever since it began! The sun is usually shining (apart from last year) and the day is spent dancing and drinking; what more could you ask for? Of course, everyone drinks too much but the event is always organised so well, and the music is incredible! I couldn’t recommend this event enough, and this year it is going to be even bigger as they have changed the location of the site!
21st – 23rd June – Harry Potter Studios
My boyfriend and I received tickets to Harry Potter Studios from my Dad for Christmas last year and have only just got around to booking it! We decided that we would make a weekend out of it by heading up to Watford on the Thursday, going on the tour Friday and then coming home on the Saturday.
I have really given much thought to how we will spend our free time here, so if anyone knows of anything to do in the area and any good places to eat, please let me know!
20th July – Five Year Anniversary
Not sure how my boyfriend has put up with me for nearly five years, but a round of applause for him! I’m keeping this in my diary as I’m sure he has something magical planned; right James?
12th – 16th November – Center Parcs
We booked our trip to Center Parcs last year, as we knew that we would be spending the majority of 2018 saving for a house and wanted something to look forward to. We visited Center Parcs back in 2015 for my birthday, and literally had the best time! I have only ever visited the Longleat site, once for my birthday and once when I was younger, so we thought we would stick with what we know and return again. Longleat Forest is the closest one to us and is only a couple of hours drive away!
It is so nice switching off for a few days and spending actual time together instead of being glued to our phones!
So, this is what I have planned for 2018, and if any of you know some good things to do and good places to eat in the Watford area please let me know in the comments below!
